Baltimore, Maryland - The Canton Railroad Company has published its new CTN 8300-M Rate Tariff, effective July 1, 2006. The tariff - which has not been increased since May of 2001 - list public pricing on transportaion activities on the Canton Line. On average the rates have increased by 3.5%. "While we at Canton have done well in cost containment activities, and volume growth we have not been able to stay on target with fuel and steel pricing affecting our rail activities" said John Magness, President & CEO of Canton.
